The Junction City Art Association
The Junction City Art Association has been a fixture in Junction City, Oregon since 1961. It was first created to showcase local artists for the very first Scandinavian Festival and has been active with old members retiring and new members joining ever since.
We currently have a great assortment of many types of artists, everything from more traditional landscape painters to modern digital painting created completely using computer software. We have several artists who specialize in wood creations, including sculpture and woodburning. We have abstract paintings, resin creations, watercolor western art, portraits of people and animals, even "steam punk" inspired skull sculptures. We are a collective of craftspeople who love the creative, and aspire to explore all things artistic.
We are always looking for new members as well as new opportunities to showcase our work. We are also working toward giving back and promoting young artists through our yearly student art contest.
The Junction City Art Association meets at Scandia Hall on the second Thursday of every month (except August where we show at the festival) at 10am till noon. We are always looking for new members to keep the tradition going. If you are interested in more information or joining, please contact us through the CONTACT US tab above.
