The Tri-County Student Art Contest

The 5th Annual Tri-County Student Art Contest is Here!

High school and middle school aged artists from the Tri-County area are invited to join our annual art contest and public show!

All Artwork Entries Due

Wednesday, May 6th

Go to the Art Contest Rules menu for information on where to turn in your artwork.

Free Public Showing: Saturday, May 9th, 2026

A Public Art Show of all student entries will be displayed at Junction City High School in the cafeteria building from 12pm to 4pm

All contest winners will be announced at the end of the show and awarded their cash prizes for various art categories. Winners do not need to be present to receive an award, but we encourage all participants to come be a part of the experience. There will be a lot to do and see!

In addition to the art contest, members from the JCAA will be doing demos of their work throughout the show!

Here are two lovely ladies who will share their art process and invite students to participate with them again this year. Jo Marie will share her woodburning process, and Rachel will show how she creates digital illustrations with her iPad. Students are also invited to join her outside for sidewalk chalk doodling.

Other Activities:

Art Show guests are invited to vote for their favorite artworks by putting stickers on the students entry forms. Students who get the most public votes win a "People's Choice Award" at the end of the show.

We will be doing "Art Walks" in cake-walk style! Every half hour, starting at 12:30, art show guests and students will be told to stand on a number on the floor and if they are standing on the number we draw, they get to pick out a prize from a large basket of prizes!

We look forward to seeing you at the show! It's going to be a fun time!
